New School
Turf Cutting

We are all very excited.

The Mayor helped with the turf cutting
It was a cold and frosty morning when the work began.
The digger started to dig a big hole.
It was getting very deep.
The snow arrived.

They carried on working and soon got rid of the snow.

We can now see the floor of the school.(Foundations)

They have started to put up scaffolding so the school's walls can be built.

There are planks between the scaffolding so the men can work safely.

They are starting to build the frame.

Here's a different angle of the previous photo.

Even more scaffolding is put up!

A big crane has arrived to lift the wood pieces for the roof.

The wood frame is put up and the roof is forming.

The crane lifted the huge pieces of wood to form the first upstairs classroom.

They have put the roof on for the upstairs classrooms.

This is a view from inside the building.

The terrace is flooded with water.

The 'street' has been fitted with lights.

The water resistant material on the roof is attached with hot glue.

The school is covered in a green material.

It's our green school!

They are covering the school in wood.

The terrace is fitted with supports for the canopy.

Everyone is working very hard in the 'street'

The ceiling has been fitted.

The classrooms now have ceilings and electric wiring.

Our new school hall, it looks very high.

The outside of the building has been panelled in wood.

The classrooms have now been painted in shades of green.

They have built a pathway around the school and to the pond.

The hall has now been painted white which gives it a feeling of space.

This the external junior staircase to the playground.

This shows how high the hall actually is.

This is our eco woodchip burner.

The classrooms are an interesting shape and supply plenty of light.

Pathways around the school.

Panelling is completely finished.

Still a bit more work to finish here.
